Baby Yoda Comes to Minecraft

Whatever your view of the Star Wars sequels, there’s still something mesmerising about the franchise, from its characters, to its vehicles, to the music and sound effects. The good news is, all of that's now playable in Minecraft.

The new pack’s already on sale in the Minecraft Marketplace, and comes with a dozen planets from the Star Wars universe, each with its own textures, map, skins, mobs and re-skinned items. That means you can fight Tuken Raiders, meet Jawas, and duel Darth Vader on the Death Star using Minecraft lightsabers.

The pack incorporates content from A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and The Mandalorian, so you’ll be able to hang out on Tatooine and admire its twin suns, explore the jungles of Endor, and chill in the arctic tundra of Hoth amongst others. You can also fly between these destination with a neat new Hyperspace effect.

Vehicles and ships include the Millennium Falcon, X-Wings, and landspeeders, all of which you can drive or pilot yourself. There are also nearly forty characters from the series, which naturally means you can have Baby Yoda in your game, complete with trademark hovering spherical pushchair.
